Hawaii Babymoon: Safe Things to Do

Here are some things you should consider doing while on your babymoon in Hawaii:

Prenatal massage– This is considered by many to be one of the best things you can do for yourself during your pregnancy. It will help relax your body, reduce stress, and help increase blood flow which in turn helps boost breastmilk production after delivery.

Get a maternity photoshoot– Babymoon in Hawaii means you will have plenty of chances to get your maternity photos taken! I think having pictures that document this special time is worth the effort.

Go to the beach or pool– Let’s be honest, the beach is why many of us go to Hawaii. There’s nothing more relaxing than sitting in the warm water while enjoying a drink (mocktail, of course).

Take a walk– If you are active, then take your babymoon as an opportunity to enjoy some walks with gorgeous views. You can go to the botanical gardens and take a romantic walk. If you are in Honolulu, be sure to check out this list of the top botanical gardens to visit in Oahu.

Nature walks are my personal favorite, and most of the resorts mentioned in this article should offer lots of walking opportunities. Walking will help reduce stress levels, and it’s great for both mommy and baby.

Go to a Luau– If you enjoy dancing and singing or just want to be entertained for a few hours, consider booking a luau. The food is usually good with great entertainment, so it’s worth checking out if you are up for some entertainment. If you are going to Oahu, check out our list of the best luau on the island.

Hawaii Babymoon: Safety Precautions

Although Hawaii is generally safe, there are still precautions that you should take before going on your trip. As always, make sure to talk to your OBGYN before flying to Hawaii.

Hawaii Babymoon: Things to Avoid Doing

Do not overdo it– If you have to take it easy for a few days, then do so. If overdoing it means over-exerting yourself physically or mentally, then try to avoid it. Remember that you are on vacation, so at least try not to stress about anything!

Do not overpack– This is something that we as women tend to do a lot. We feel the need to bring everything and anything with us, even if we never use it or can’t even fit it in our overstuffed bag. Keep your bags simple so that you don’t have to worry about exceeding the baggage weight limit.

Don’t forget to consult with your OBGYN– Before going on your Hawaii babymoon, make sure you let your OBGYN know of all the activities you will be doing, and if they think there is any cause for concern, ask their opinion.

Hawaii Babymoon: Things to Do

Drink lots of water– If you are going to be spending a lot of time in the sun, then it is important to drink enough water so that your body can hydrate itself properly. Remember how important staying hydrated is for the baby too!

Pack only the necessities– Avoid bringing things that you won’t use or will take up too much space. Remember to bring comfortable shoes.

Relax and Have Fun!– One of the best things about going on a babymoon is relaxing and not thinking about anything work-related or stressful. You will have enough stress later with your little one, so make sure you enjoy this time as much as you can. Take pictures, eat well and enjoy your babymoon.
