12 Best Food Trucks on the North Shore of Oahu You Need to Try
Before our first trip to Hawaii, we always thought the North Shore was known for having the best beaches. Little did we know that the North Shore of Oahu has some of the best food trucks. They offer everything from authentic Mexican cuisine to mouth-watering Hawaiian garlic shrimp and so much more! If you’re visiting the area, you have to try out some food trucks.
If you have limited time on your vacation, this is a great way to try various foods without committing to one restaurant. It’s also a great way to save money while you travel since food trucks tend to be much cheaper than restaurants.

(1) Giovanni’s Food Truck

Location: 66-472 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712
Before we went to Oahu, We heard so many great things about Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck. Usually, we are not the type to go with the hype and we tend to stay away from places that seem too hyped up but we decided to give Giovanni’s a try.
We are so glad we did because the food was excellent and it exceeded all of my expectations.
We ordered the famous garlic shrimp and the “no refund hot and spicy shrimp,” and both options were delightful.
The shrimp plates cost $15 a plate and they come with two scoops of rice as a side, and that is a win because rice is everything, haha!

One thing to note is that the hot and spicy shrimp was indeed too spicy, so if you cannot handle the heat, then order something else from the menu.
My nose was running and my eyes watering while eating these little devils, but it was worth it and I would order it again!
They have many great options on the menu and I can guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed with whatever you order.
(2) The Sunrise Shack
Location: 59-158 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712
This Sunrise shack totally deserves a spot on this list. They have some of the best acai bowls we have ever tasted, and they also have many healthy superfoods.
The acai bowls are delicious and fresh, plus they have so many great smoothies to choose from that will hit your taste buds in all the right ways.

I decided to order their basic acai bowl with granola, strawberries, and bananas, which came out delicious. The yogurt was very creamy, and it had everything I could ask for in a base to create a smoothie bowl.
Items on the menu can range from $4 to about $15 and the portions are more than generous.

The Sunrise Shack is located right across the street from Sunset Beach. There are also two other locations: one at Sharks Cove and the other at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort.

Sugah Daddeh’s is another one of our favorite food trucks on the North Shore. Their sugarcane drinks are some of the best we have ever had.
Their fresh sugarcane juices start at $7.00, and they also have ice tea options starting at $4.00.
Order one of their refreshing drinks and you will thank me later.

Also, we ended up asking the owner if we could buy some sugarcane to eat and he said, “not a problem.” He cut up the pieces for us and it ultimately made our day.
I grew up eating sugarcane and haven’t had any in 20 years. I was so happy with the excellent customer service.
